5G-DRIVE made its way up to the North of Europe for its fourth plenary consortium meeting. Partner VTT and the city of Espoo received the consortium partners from June 25-27, 2019 for 2.5 days of discussions on past and ongoing work, as well as what’s to come in the near future.
On Day 1, the partners went thorough the six work packages and discussed progress made in recent months. The partners also discussed the outcomes of the project review in May and steps to address and improve the project according to the comments received.
On Day 2, the partners broke up into two groups: WP3 on eMBB and WP4 on V2X. This allowed the partners to discuss in greater detail progress made, objectives to achieve in the coming months, and the process to enable joint trialling with the Chinese twin project. The partners also discussed the outcomes of the first Advisory Board meeting and concrete actions to take to address the recommendations received.
The meeting wrapped up on Day 3 with the discussion on the project video (which will be available soon), project events, standardisation and business modelling aspects.
With summer already here, partners make their way to their deserve vacation period, but the work will continue. The partners meet again next October in Athens.
