5G-DRIVE has officially kicked off. The 17 EU partners gathered in Heidelberg on September 6-7, 2018 and put into full throttle the 30-month EU-funded project.
Over the course of two days, the partners discussed their vision for this ambitious project, which brings the opportunity to also collaborate with a twin Chinese project.
Running until February 2021, 5G-DRIVE will trial and validate the interoperability between EU & China 5G networks operating at 3.5 GHz bands for enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) and 3.5 & 5.9 GHz bands for V2X scenarios.
Together with the China project, led by China Mobile, the two projects will develop joint trials, reports and other activities with the objective of contributing to progress of 5G.
Stay tuned, and keep in touch!
